Ellen Pitrone
Executive Assistant
With 15 years in R&D administration, Ellen uses her knowledge and expertise in IP management, legal, administrative, and business functions to support the Virtual Energy team and facilitate the company’s success. Prior to R&D, Ellen spent several years in Higher Education, providing assistance to high-level executives and trustees, as well as holding positions in sales and marketing, student and graduate services, and finally as her campus’s chief executive.
Steve Massey
Mechanical Engineer - Design
With years of machining experience, Steve transitioned mechanical engineering in the year 2000. His primary focus is in mechanical engineering concept creation and design with experience in multi-physics analysis and manufacturing engineering support.
Tibor Kiss
Mechanical Engineer - Combustion Analyst
Tibor is an expert in combustion analysis providing numerical simulation in support of engine, engine subsystems and hydraulic system development.
Dave Drury
Mechanical Engineer - Engine Testing and Calibration
With a background in mechanical engineering with an emphasis on combustion systems, Dave is responsible for dynamometer operation, engine calibration and emissions analysis equipment operation. With a diverse role, Dave assists in mechanical drafting and system analysis.
Chris North
Electrical Engineer - Hardware Design
Chris is the electronic hardware design lead for all programs including fuel injection controllers, hydraulic valve actuation controllers, engine controllers, pump controls and irrigation controls.
Matt Aldrich
Electrical Engineer - Software Controls
Matt is the embedded software lead for our engine and valve train controllers with expertise in advanced control strategies focusing on reliable and robust software controls and on-board diagnostics.
Anton Pancheshnyy
Electrical Engineer
Anton is an Electrical Engineer with a strong mechanical background and a self-described gearhead. His work is significant and diverse, from electronic test component design, IT network infrastructure development, as well as mechanical design, engine assembly, and injector testing.”

Glenn brings years of experience in electronics assembly with stringent expectations for defense related programs. He utilizes his experience to provide reliable installation of electrical components on all of our electronic controllers and harnessing.
Bob Moore
Mechanical Technician, Fabrication
With years of Naval experience as a mechanic, Bob is responsible for mechanical assembly and fabrication in our dynamometer and hydraulic test cells. Bob can handle any custom fabrication needs with welding and fabrication experience.
Scott Westfall
Machinist, Precision Grinding and Lapping
One of the best machinists you will find, Scott is considered an artist with materials. From CNC to precision grinding to hand-lapping, Scott can make a complex design look simple to make. While he is not operating the machining tools, he is always willing to spin a wrench or two and assist with mechanical assembly.
